About

Born in Istanbul, Zeynep Erdinç completed her education at the Ceramics Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Marmara University. Currently residing in Istanbul, Erdinç invites viewers on an intellectual journey by exploring the relationship between nature and humanity through her unique artistic language.

Her art serves not only as a visual medium but also as a tool to delve into the depths of life, trace the marks of the past, and uncover the potential stories of the future. Her works stand out with the creative use of diverse materials such as sand, sawdust, and metal scraps. These materials reflect both the impact of human intervention and the forces of nature, creating a temporal texture where the past and present intertwine. Her layered narrative emphasizes not just the visible but also the hidden, which forms the foundation of her aesthetic vision.

Her paintings delve into concepts such as “inversion,” interconnectedness, and stratification, examining the relationship between time and space while inviting viewers on a personal journey. By combining natural textures with a minimalist aesthetic, these works offer an experience that engages not only the eyes but also the mind.

In Erdinç’s art, the balance between abstraction and reality is shaped by her courage to question the mutable and immutable aspects of life. Each of her works presents a timeless world where viewers are encouraged to construct their own stories.
